If all goes well, you won't be needing your script to remember your lines by the time August comes rolling around, but that shouldn't mean you won't be referencing it at all throughout Shakespeare Camp!! Throughout the week of camp, it's recommended you maintain, customize, and personalize your script!!
When reading through the script on the night of the performance, it can always help to know when you're on and where you're on. But sometimes, your entrances and exits are near the end of the lines, and sometimes entire scenes can become easy to miss when you're flipping through in the dim lighting of backstage.
To keep your script easy to work through, highlight the outermost edge of each page that you perform on. Even with your script closed, you can easily see how many more pages you have left before you're on. Starting the highlights at the specific lines that you enter can also help, since searching through text upon text of words to find [ENTER] or [EXEUNT] can be more than frustrating.
