Every year, the Baylor Stage is generously made available for us, and every year, it's an absolute joy to work and perform in. I hope you will all respect the faculties that they provide during the week of Shakespeare Camp, especially considering how it's made free to us every year.
The stage is made up of a thirty wide by thirty deep area. Each sidestage has a proptable and scriptset. Both sides are connected by the woodworkshop that extends behind the stage. Running backstage is a hallways that doors two dressingrooms and a greenroom. A wide reception room sits near the two entrances into the theatre. The audience is seated above the stage. There are two legs and six wings, but no drapes. Above and behind the audience is the techbooth for the lighting. A sound system runs through all rooms backstage, allowing for everybody to follow along with the play as they wait for their entrances.
I hope that everybody who has yet to see the stage will find it incredible and impressive!! And for those of you who have already been to the stage, be sure to help the others find their way around the theatre!! In just a bit more than a week from now, we'll be acting and performing on the stage. I hope to see you all then!!
