What an incredible week we had! Between two productions with four performances, we had an utterly fantastic weekend of Shakespeare! The audience was absolutely charmed by the fun characters you were all able to bring to life on stage, from the hopelessly romantic lovers to the hilariously comedic idiots.
But now it's over.
We were striking the set the other day over at Roddy, be it by packing away all the props, cleaning all the dressingrooms, and taking down all the setpieces. And as sentimental as it may have been, I really got to thinking about all the incredible memories I had at the theatre.
This has been my last year of performing here at Shakespeare Camp. And all I can really think to say is.. gee.. thanks. I have been performing shakespeare for nine years now, and to be quite honest, I can't think of a better way to end if off. This year has been absolutely incredible. Thank you so much for being a part of such a huge part of my life.
To celebrate such successful productions, we are holding our cast party next thursday, on August 16th at 1:00pm. There will be much reveling and snacking, as well as a "lost-and-found" of items we stumbled upon while striking the set over at baylor. We will be discussing what plays we hope to perform next year, as well as access to the performances we had recorded. I hope to see you all there. And until then, "forget not that I am an ass!" :D
