Well-roared Lion!

We're a troupe of kids who come together every year to put on Shakespeare plays.

Then I defy you stars!

Today begins the 2013 year with auditions at North Shore Fellowship. We have a record number of registrations and we will do everything we can to provide a part for all the students. I would like to encourage the students who may receive smaller roles, by saying that the experience of "living a Shakespeare play from the inside" is fun!  Many of our experienced students say that their favorite years were the ones they spent in smaller roles because of the dynamic of being part of a team.
Remember that at auditions we will be judging on overall acting ability, ability to project your voice, ability to memorize, and maturity. Shakespearean acting is different from film acting; it is better to exaggerate movements and diction for the Shakespearean stage. To do this, rehearse in front of a mirror and give interest to your movements. Also, speak s-l-o-w-l-y. It may seem unnatural at first, but it will prepare you for auditions.
I look forward to seeing you all February 22 at 1:30 at North Shore Fellowship. (It is across from the Walgreens on Frazier Ave. and parking lots are on either side of the church.) When your audition is performed, you are free to go, but it is fun to watch the rest of the auditions if you have the time.
